Teacher Travel Grants Due in Mid-January...

Applications Due Soon:
1. The Alexander Initiative (Due 1/15)
Fully funded PD for high school History and Civics teachers.
2. Mount Vernon Teacher Fellowship (Due 1/17)
“Collaborate with K-12 teachers from around the country to create leveled, inquiry-based educator resources utilizing Mount Vernon's collections and historic site.”
3. Acadia Teacher Fellows (Due 1/19)
This funded program “encourages full-time, K-12 public classroom school teachers to spend six weeks learning about diverse natural and cultural resources, and ways to protect them” at Acadia National Park in Maine. Wow!
4. National Air and Space Museum (Due 1/20)
“Spend two [funded] weeks in Washington, DC, working with education and STEAM experts to explore the connections between informal STEAM education and authentic learning.” This one gets rave reviews.
5. Wild Heart Retreat, Colorado (ASAP)
At the time of this writing, there was just one date left for the Wild Heart Retreat in Colorado (awarded on a first-come, first-served basis).
