Teacher PDs With Applications Due in June
Happy June! For those who’ve ended your school year, congrats — and for those of us (like me) who still have a few weeks to go, sending you good energy. Before diving into this week’s list of teacher PD funding ideas, just want to give a shout-out to teacher-travel specialist Andi Webb for bringing her list of teacher grants and scholarships to OVER 400 opportunities! Do check out that link when you have a chance, and may you find a great match for your learning dreams.
1. Art Mini Institutes (Due ASAP)
Applications are still open for several of the regional sites for this National Gallery of Art PD opportunity — which includes a $500 travel stipend!
2. Camp Many Stories, Montana (Due ASAP)
This opportunity is for either educators and students, with applications accepted on a rolling basis, so apply soon. This is five days of nature-based education and storytelling in August near Glacier National Park, Montana. Scholarships are available for the sizable cost of the experience, but not for travel.
3. Teacher and Librarian Scholarship (Due 7/15)
This scholarship covers the cost of the Teacher and Librarian literary seminar in Key West, Florida, plus an extra stipend to offset lodging costs!
4. Viewpoint Diversity (Due 6/20)
The Mill Institute offers this fellowship on cultivating viewpoint diversity for both teachers and school leaders, which takes place in NYC in September. There is an honorarium.
5. STEM Studio (Due ASAP)
These STEM workshops are offered both in person (in California) and virtually, and the cost of the workshops themselves is totally covered ($400 value), though travel for the in-person ones is not.
6. Founding Forward Seminars (Due ASAP)
There are still a few spots left in some Founding Forward seminars. Teachers who attend receive a $150 stipend, as well as a scholarship to cover course materials, lectures, hotel accommodations, admission fees, transportation, most meals, and more.
7. Museum of the Pacific War Institute (Due ASAP)
From July 7-11, join educators in Texas to learn about the Pacific War. Scroll to the bottom of this page to apply for scholarships — funding is still available but going fast.
I’ll send more opportunities soon. Lots of luck!
