7 Teacher Travel Grants Due by April 1!
Hello! I was thrilled to get the following message the other day from a TeachingTraveling.com reader: “Hi Lillie, I got the grant for the Brussels Study Tour in June 2025! I am so excited. I didn't know about the opportunity until I saw your blog... thanks for sharing!”
It makes me so happy that this project that I’ve been running since 2010 is helping people find teacher travel opportunities. Maybe you’ll be next! On that note, this isn’t an April Fools’ Day joke — here are five travel grants due by April 1…
1. Korean War Legacy Conference, FL (Due ASAP)
This Korean War Legacy conference is in Orlando in April (coming up fast!) and still has some spots open with funding available!
2. NCTAsia Summer Residential Program (Due 3/23)
Learn about East Asia and the Mongols in the residential summer program which features a stipend to help offset travel costs.
3. 9/11 Museum Educator’s Institute (Due 3/23)
A week-long teacher institute in NYC to study 9/11; $750 stipend.
4. National Archives Civics Teacher Institute (Due 3/24)
A week-long summer institute in Washington DC for grade 3-12 teachers to learn how to use the National Archives to teach civic knowledge and skills.
5. Monticello Teacher Institute (Due 4/1)
This beloved fully-funded teacher professional development opportunity takes place in Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello in Virginia.
6. Harvard Global Studies Outreach (Due 4/1)
Limited funds are available to support educators outside of Massachusetts to attend this workshop at Harvard about “Contested Realities.”
7. Making Renewable Natural Gas (Due Soon)
This fully funded PD studies natural gas and also comes with a big stipend.
